Description
Judge Johnson W. Summerfield and two young girls read a newspaper which is dated August 28, 1918. The girls are probably his daughters Catherine (who would have been about 7 years old) and Jeanne (who would have been about 12 years old). Catherine was the daughter of his first wife, Phoebe Summerfield, who died in 1916, and Jeanne was the daughter of his second wife, Ethel Summerfield.
