Description: Eight members of the traveling ducal party on the platform of the last car on the train. The train is called the California Santa Fe Limited, as per the railing sign. The Duke and Duchess of Alba stand at the center with one woman in between them. The Duchess grasps the hand of Mary Pickford, who is on the ground. Douglas Fairbanks stands to Mary's left, looking up at the Duchess. Photo appears with the article "Alba Promises to Return," Los Angeles Times, 14 Oct. 1924: A12.
