Text on press release filed with the negative: WATCH YOUR CREDIT----------"P & A PHOTOS" / LA 15499----------(LOS ANGELES BUREAU) / MARRIAGE LICENSE BOOK OF SPANISH ERA DISCOVERED. / "Libro de Matrimonio" is the title dimly printed on a thin little volume discovered in the Los Angeles Courthouse recently. It is the record of marriage licenses issued in Los Angeles County in the years 1850 to 1854 inclusive. The book will probably be turned over to the Southwest Museum. / Photo shows Rosamond Rice, Chief Marriage License Deputy with "Libro de Matrimonio". / (NY CHI) 10/29/28
