Photograph used in "UCLA on the Move", page 155.
Gershwin and UCLA students sing "Strike up the band" at Gershwin's home. The composer had donated the song to UCLA in 1937. The students are (from L to R) Kay Dodge, Vera Nell Gilmer (seated), Catherine Cockrell, Georgette Foster, Dorothy Oswald, Grace Wolfskill, and Alice Waldron.
