Description
Poster held by Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library. History & Special Collections, Collection no. 306, item FR004. An artistic black and white photograph depicts the buttocks and back of a reclining nude figure (sex indistinguishable) and highlights the sensuous curves of buttocks and back. The figure is reclining with legs toward the left and upper body toward the right of the photograph. In the background are three light rectangles, which are probably windows. Above the photo, the first two lines of text appear in large black lettering on a lavender background; following are four more lines of text in grey letters on white. Below the photo are 5 more lines of grey-on-white text, followed by the campaign slogan, "Protégez-vous du sida." The logo of the sponsoring ministry appears in the lower right corner. The message of the text promotes safe sex by poetically talking about mutual exploration of the curves of the body, the pleasures of the eyes and of kissing, and so on. It concludes by giving a phone number "if you want to talk about it," meaning other ways of practicing safe sex. Protégez-vous du sida
