Description
Poster contains a black and white photograph of a frontal nude male with his body covered by a sheer black veil. He is holding a "Hot Rubber" condom and is about to tear it open. Poster suggests the importance of protection (condom)-- if one is to tear off the veil to engage in sex-- in order to prevent contraction of a fatal disease, as represented by the black veil, which is often associated with funerals and mourning. Poster held by Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library. History & Special Collections, Collection no. 306, item SZ045. Date on back of poster, 2004, reflects when the vendor received the copy later acquired by the UCLA Library.
