Description
From 1920 to 1926, Amos L. Beaty was the president of Texaco. In 1926 he was elected vice-president of the American Petroleum Institute; in 1931 he was elected president of the organization. It is possible that this image was taken in Mr. Beaty's hotel room while in Los Angeles for an American Petroleum Institute convention or meeting in 1932.
