Description
FLOTATION BED--Nurse Irene Hanus removes air from mattress over mud in bed as nurse Mamie Stephens acts as patient. The mud bed was developed primarily to cope with the problem of bed sores in hospitals. The bed weighs 1,200 pounds, including 800 pounds of heated mud.
