Description
CONFRONTATION--Arabs and sympathizers, foreground, and group of Jews stage counter-demonstrations across the street from each other near the Israeli consulate, 659 Highland Ave. There was no violence but each side chanted and waved signs as police kept watch. The Arab group, apparently protesting downing of Libyan airliner, marched from assembly point on Wilshire Blvd.
