Text from newspaper caption: Above, finishing the sanitary sewers for the new Olive-street extension from Pico to Twenty-third street. Below, looking north on the path cleared for the new street. Sewers and storm drains are complete in this. Buildings in the foreground are the Frank Wiggins Trade School and the Metropolitan High School. The school was partly removed to let the street through.
