Description
COPING WITH THE ECONOMY--The lines were long and there were many forms to fill out as unemployed workers filed for benefits at the California Department of Employment Development, Los Angeles. People cope in different ways with high costs as they attempt to stretch their shrinking paychecks or their unemployment checks and food-stamps [sic] to the limit. Inflation, recession has cut across all income lines.
