Description
ANSWER: You really couldn’t be expected to recognize the scene in the photo, but just to satisfy your curiosity, it is a picturesque rock garden hidden behind the Police Academy in Elysian Park. ("If you minded, you might find a copper" -- wow!)
Declared Historic-Cultural Monument #110 by the City of Los Angeles in 1973.
KNOW YOUR CITY, NO. 53 -- This is really a toughie and, if you think it is Fern Dell in Griffith Park, you couldn’t be wronger. Not too many people have seen this rock garden. Clue: If you mined, you might find copper. Answer on Page3, Part 2.
