Description
ANSWER: Yes, this is lovely Lake Hollywood, a jewel in the hills just over the ridge from Cahuenga Pass. Admission: Even the photographer didn’t know it was there! On a clear day, the taller buildings of Hollywood's business district are visible over the rim of the dam in the background.
Declared Historic-Cultural Monument #421 by the City of Los Angeles in 1989.
KNOW YOUR CITY, NO. 80 -- A beauty spot, this isolated lake is known to few. It is only seconds from the city's most heavily traveled thoroughfare. If it weren't for the haze, buildings could be seen in the background. Answer, Page 16, Part 1A.
