Description
Declared Historic-Cultural Monument #183 by the City of Los Angeles in 1978; it was destroyed by fire in 1989.
ANSWER: Yep, it's the entrance to the Pan-Pacific Auditorium out on Beverly Blvd., near Fairfax Ave., scene of numerous ice shows, basketball games and just about every other kind of exhibit.
KNOW YOUR CITY, NO.90 -- From skates to baskets, this place has been on the pan for years. It also has had boats, homes, automobiles, etc. Thousands upon thousands of people have been here. Recognize it? Answer on Page 9, Part lll.
