ANSWER: The building shown in the photo is commonly known as the Van Nuys City Hall. But, because it houses various departments of the Los Angeles city government, its official title is Van Nuys Municipal Building.
KNOW YOUR CITY, NO.102 -- This is the City Hall. And don't snicker. It actually is. It's a Los Angeles City Hall wholly within the city limits. Recognized by many, it will puzzle many more. See Page 14, Part l.
