Description
OFF TO EGYPT-Electric streetcars that once carried passengers on Los Angeles streets are loaded aboard the Liberian ship Santa Helena at Long Beach Harbor. The cargo tanker sails today with 10 of the cars, which were first of 143 sold to the Cairo, Egypt, Transportation Co. by the former Metropolitan Transit Authority. The streetcars will be used in Alexandria, Egypt.
