PUBLIC WORKS AND UNEMPLOYED UNION PICKETS W.P.A. OFFICE: The Public Works and Unemployed Union, described as a Communist-inspired organization, yesterday began picketing the W.P.A. headquarters. Twenty-three men and women were in line at the peak of the picketing. Placards worn by them call for payment of union wages, removal of army offices from W.P.A. control, reinstatement of thirty-nine men discharged after riot and collective bargaining.
