FELL FIRST -- Bill Fell of Compton (third from right) breezes to win in open 100-yard dash in Long Beach Relays. The Tartar ace was clocked in 9.8s as he beat Ernie Lightner of UCLA (fourth from right) by five feet. Al Mejia of Compton (second from left) was third.
