Description
STRIKEBOUND--The scene at this General Electric Co. plant in Ontario is quiet, like that at most GE facilities around the country as the strike against the company goes into its tenth week. The plant is one of two in the area from which 1,500 workers are out. Assemble line, left, produces 90% of GE's output of steam irons. The strike is beginning to have an impact on the national economy.
