Description
Additional poster text: Asking if he has HIV isn't a reliable way to stop HIV; remember some guys don't know they have HIV. The poster shows a cartoon figure of a "buff", baldheaded, blue eyed male dressed in blue jeans and a black leather vest with a well groomed black beard and mustache and heavy black eyebrows. He has an earring in his right ear. He is leaning up against a wall with his left arm behind his back and his right thumb stuck in his pocket. At the bottom of the poster there is a small box with a 3-D image of a screw with the words KEEP IT UP! KEEP IT SAFE! The phone number (1800-155-141) and the web address (www.quac.org.au) are also given for the QuAc (Queensland AIDS Council). Poster held by Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library. History & Special Collections, Collection no. 306, item AT025. Date on back of poster, 2004, reflects when the vendor received the copy later acquired by the UCLA Library.
