Description
Additional poster text: Stop AIDS. Ci preoccupiamo della tua salute, non della tua identità. Esami in anonimato, un medico al telefono, analisi gratuite. Translated poster text: Stop AIDS. We worry about your health, not your identity. Anonymous, a doctor on the telephone, free testing. Date on back of poster, 2006, reflects when the vendor received the copy later acquired by the UCLA Library. Poster held by Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library. History & Special Collections, Collection no. 306, item IT009. The background of the black-and-white poster consists of 25 thumbnail images, each of which is a drawing of an individual person talking into a telephone. There are 8 different drawings, some of which are repeated. They depict one woman and several men; their clothing is characteristic of their status: professional worker, blue-colar worker, student. The drawings illustrate that people from all genders and walks of life can call this health network and speak anonymously with a physician about their AIDS-related health issues, and receive free medical advice and testing. In the center of the poster is a large letter C on a blue background. The telephone number, the Stop AIDS slogan, and the Gruppo C name are lettered in red. All other lettering is in white over a black background.
