Description
Addintional text in French: "Se faire dépister, c'est pouvoir bénéficier des traitements." Translation in English:"If they keep track of you, you will be able to benefit from the treatment." A black man is looking at a mirror. His back is partially seen and his profile can be seen from his back in front of the mirror. His reflection in the mirror depicts his right arm’s fingers on his face. He seems that he is worried or wondering if he is infected. He is presumably in a bathroom, as there are two toothbrushes and a razor in a cup and a whitening powder case on the shelf just below the mirror. A statement below the poster informs “Le test de dépostage est anonyme, confidentiel et gratuit. Appelez gratuitement Sida Info Service au 080840800. www.sida-info-service.org" Date on back of poster, 2006, reflects when the vendor received the copy later acquired by the UCLA Library. Poster held by Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library. History & Special Collections, Collection no. 306, item FR085.
