Description
Three clippings about the program of the monthly luncheon of the Fashion Group of Washington held Thursday, held on February 26, 1953, one of them published in the Washintgon, D. C., Star on 2/22. The featured guests were Hope Skillman, owner of a textile firm; Genevieve Huss, vice president of Forstmann, Inc. woolen company; and Bonnie Cashin, fashion designer. They spoke about the relation between fabric and fashion.
Two small clippings bear the names of newspaper publications: Mamaroneck, N.Y., Times; and Ossing, N.Y., Citizen--Register.
One clipping is an advertisement for knitwear from the "Straw Hat Collection" designed by Bonnie Cashin for Joseph Guttman & Bros., with an illustration of a model wearing a peaked straw hat and a cardigan sweater.
One clipping, published on January 28, 1953, is titled "In New York Summer Lines: Textured Orlon-Nylon Yarn In Designers Summer Knits."
