Description
Plane crashed in the Santa Susana Mountains near Simi Valley and Chatsworth.
MANGLED – Battered fuselage and wing section of the air liner. The plane was a C-46 Standard Airlines transport, a former twin-engine Commando. It was flying at about 1600 feet a mile and a half northeast of Chatsworth Reservoir when it crashed.
