Dr. Jacob de la Faille points to an inscription on a self-portrait by Vincent van Gogh during an exhibition of the painting at the Associated American Artists Galleries of California, 9916 Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills. Text from newspaper caption: This is a portrait of Vincent Van Gogh painted by the noted artist himself, only recently discovered and now on display here. With painting is Dr. Jacob de la Faille, Dutch authority on subject, who delivered lecture last night.
