Description
At table, left to right: Charles "Cholly" Atkins, Charles "Honi" Coles, Mae Johnson, Alyce Key, and Pete Nugent. Atkins and Coles, preeminent tap dancers, performed together for nineteen years, starting in 1940. Atkins was an expert wing dancer, while Coles's specialty was precision.
