In 1949, singer Billie Holiday and her manager John Levy were charged with assaulting a man who had harassed Holiday during a concert. Attorney Walter Gordon was able to have the charges against Holiday dismissed. She is pictured here with Detective Gosline, who arrested Holiday and Levy.
