Description
All information concerning the content and description of the image was provided by Walter Gordon.
Alex Lovejoy, proprietor of Lovejoy's, a restaurant across from the Alabam on Central Avenue, is seated 2nd from the left. Lovejoy's would provide food for patrons in the music clubs, delivering it so that they did not have to leave in order to eat. Musician Louis Armstrong is 3rd from the right. The others in the photograph are unidentified.
The Club Alabam was located at 4015 S. Central Ave.
