Description
The woman on the left is identified as "(Barrow) Joe's Lewis sister". Two sisters of Jow Lewis are identified as Eulala Barrow and Bunis Barrow (a mistake; she was named Vunies; later Vunis High) in the 1930 Census. All information concerning the content and description of the image was provided by Walter Gordon. The three men in this photo, left to right: Sam Taylor, Nelson Creswell, and Lionel Hampton. The women in this photograph are unidentified, most likely waitresses in local clubs. The woman on the far left, wearing the "Sam Taylor" sash, is possibly the sister of boxer Joe Louis.
