Description
All information concerning the content and description of the image was provided by Walter Gordon. Walter L. Gordon bought this building (at the time it was Newman's Shoe Factory; previously it had been a gambling parlor) in early 1945. Later it became a beauty parlor, and still later Dr. Mitchell's medical house and Harry's Haberdashery moved in. This demonstrates the constantly changing nature of Central Avenue. Caption: "The spot -- before May 1 1945."
