Prima ballerina Mia Slavenska in costume for "Ghost Town." The ballet was written by Marc Platoff and performed as part of the Ballet Russe at the Philharmonic Auditorium. Slavenska (1916-2002) was a Croatian-born ballerina who became the prima ballerina of the Metropolitan Opera Ballet in 1954. She taught ballet at CalArts and University of California, Los Angeles.
