Milliner Sonya Zaranof who brought a $150,000 suit against dancer Irene Castle McLaughlin for making defamatory comments against Zaranof and calling her hats "terrible" (specifically the type Zaranof is wearing in this picture). Zaranof said that her millinery business had suffered considerably since the comments. McLaughlin denied the charges.
