Santa Ysabel Asistencia, established in 1818 as a sub-station to Mission San Diego de Alcala, was located east of San Diego in the area north of the town of Santa Ysabel. The cemetery is all that remains of the original site, which included a chapel, granary, and several adobe houses. Same image as no. CHS-736 in the USC, Title Insurance and Trust / C.C. Pierce Photography Collection Small wooden crosses mark the graves in the cemetery bounded by a picket fence. One grave is marked with a larger wooden cross. A small area within the cemetery is bounded by another picket fence. A few houses are visible in the distance. Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds.
