Upper photo: view of the Pacific Coast Highway looking west towards a lighthouse. The road runs along the shore at right between the calm ocean at left and the steep cliffs at right. The lighthouse consists of a long rectangular building with a tall tower at left. The Santa Monica Mountains are visible in the background. Middle photo: view towards the Villa del Leon (Leon Kauffmann residence), located at 17948 Porto Marina Way, in Pacific Palisades. Designed by Kenneth MacDonald Jr. and built in 1927, it is one of the largest villas in Southern California. Bottom photo: close-up view towards Castle Rock. Castle rock was leveled in the mid 1950's and is now paved over. Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds.
