View from the pier towards three popular early beach clubs: from left to right, the Breakers, Edgewater, and the Castle Del Mar Club (1910 Ocean Way).
The Breakers Beach Club, founded in 1926, was converted into the Grand Hotel in 1934 and eventually into an apartment complex. The Edgewater Beach Club, founded in 1927, was eventually demolished. The Casa Del Mar, founded in 1926, and is currently a hotel (2012).
