Legible signs include "Bank of Italy," at 660 S. Broadway, "Boos Bros" cafeteria," "Fox Palace," movie theater playing "Hallelujah M. G. M. hit," "Kress," "Bedell...Fashion Shoes," "Maximes," and "Walkers." The movie "Hallelujah" opened in 1929.
