Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Grounds at Parc de Saint-Cloud. Saint-Cloud is an affluent area in the western suburbs of Paris. This was the site of Château de Saint-Cloud, which was destroyed during the Franco-Prussian War in 1870. Now, the grounds remain as part of the Parc de Saint-Cloud. This view shows a broad promenade, lined by small conical trees and surrounded by taller ones. There is a large building at the end of the walkway and three women walking away from it. A fourth woman sits on a bench in the foreground. Text from nitrate negative sleeve: Paris 1929
