Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. View of the Arch of Constantine from the south with the Colosseum in the background. The Arch was built to honor Constantine I's victory in the Battle of Milvian Bridge in 312. It was built mostly from re-used parts from earlier buildings, called spolia.
