Handwritten on edge of nitrate negative: 1805 Text from nitrate negative sleeve: Pasadena Rose Tourney, year 1927; 2081 2082, 2083, 2084, 2085, 2086, 2087, 2088, 2089, 2090, 2091, 2092 1927 was the first year the the Tournament of Roses Parade had a theme, "Songs in Flowers," with each float typifying a song Three-layer wedding cake float on a gondola-like boat and topped with boy and girl, Harold Van Horn and Ardath Aline Elsasser, dressed as a bride and groom beneath an archway. Inscribed in flowers on the side of the boat: Davis.... The float was entered by the Davis Perfection Bakery. Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds.
