Neeta Marquis' story, with 5 of Adelbert Bartlett's photographs, was published in the Los Angeles Times, p. G2, July 3, 1927. Text reads in part: 14 June, 1927. Dear Mr. Bartlett, The photos are excellent beyond my expectation. I turned my story in with them to-day ... the Feature editor ... had not returned ... Miss Alexander ... wanted to get some prints ... Sincerely, Neeta Marquis. [Handwritten]: Sent to Ruth Alexander, 552 Eigth [sic] St, Long Beach Text from nitrate negative sleeve: 2358 - 2359 - 2360 Art Studios, Los Angeles Latin Qtr, Noted Los Angeles Painters, 1927.
