View across Santa Monica Canyon towards Pacific Palisades. A sign in the foreground reads: "This is picturesque Santa Monica Canyon, mountains, country, sea shore. For vacant and improved property see Albert Leonard, 4th and Wilshire Blvd., phone 21627, Santa Monica." A sign across the canyon in the background reads "The California [Riviera]," a Pacific Palisades housing development initiated in the 1920's.
