Photographed on the grounds of what was later named the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (U.S.) Date from National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers Assessment of Significance And National Historic Landmark Recommendations (www.nps.gov): The James W. Wadsworth Hospital opened in 1927 ... The next year, new barracks and a new mess hall were constructed.
