Text from nitrate negative sleeve: 2536, 12, Orchids. BBEO, Pitcher Plant. Medici of the vegetable kingdom--here is the odd pitcher plant whose poison sacks kill insects. Photo shows: A picture of the pitcher plant--[unclear] from its odd shape. This plant (Nepenthes Tiveyii) grows near orchids in tropical jungles. It has poison sacks from 3 to 5 inches long on the ends of its leaves. Insects wandering into these poison sacks are killed. [11?]3B1694 PITCHER PLANT.
