Description
1927 was the first year the the Tournament of Roses Parade had a theme, "Songs in Flowers," with each float typifying a song
"La Paloma" float with white doves suspended over a garden inhabited by 6 persons in Spanish attire, including a man in a hat playing lute near center, and singers Jose Arias, Thea La Forte, Sybil Tyler and Ella Archer. The Pasadena Memorial Flagpole (Goodhue Flagpole) is visible behind the float in its original location in the middle of the intersection of Orange Grove and Colorado Boulevard.
