Beach and surf, with many waders, swimmers, sunbathers, and umbrellas, with portion of Long Beach in right background: industrial area with smokestacks and electrical towers, buildings with signs reading Venetian Square Apts, Mariner Arts & Hotel, Hotel Compton, Bath House The Virginia Hotel was at Ocean Boulevard and Magnolia Avenue, Long Beach. It opened in 1908, closed in 1932, and was demolished after the 1933 Long Beach earthquake. Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds.
