Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Travis Banton was the chief designer at Paramount Pictures. He is considered one of the most important Hollywood costume designers of the 1930s. A different photograph of Peggy Hamilton wearing this gown appears in her Los Angeles Times feature "Fashions," April 16, 1933, pg. F4. Eugene Richee was a studio photographer who worked for Paramount Pictures from 1925 to 1935 and later worked for MGM and Warner Brothers. Peggy Hamilton modeling a gown with a white satin bodice with tulle cap sleeves and a skirt of white tulle accented with gardenias.
