Text from a note describing this image: Peggy Hamilton, Los Angeles County Official Hostess, and recently Official City Hostess for the Olympic Games - Hollywood's internationally recognized fashion critic - introduces a series of original headdresses in anticipation of the social activities during the World's Fair at Chicago. The first of the series is displayed here and christened by a Los Angeles artist, Allan Turner, as the "Whirlwind Bob." [image no. uclamss_1373_0308i]
