Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Peggy Hamilton modeling a period gown at a fashion show of California fashions at the Biltmore Hotel in New York. The gown has a fitted bodice with a "v" waist sleeves fitted to the elbow with gathered lace extensions, and a full long skirt. The gown appears to be made of silk and lace. Hamilton also wears a crown. Date and location of photograph established by a Los Angeles Times article "Peggy Hamilton's Styles Give Fifth Avenue California Thrill," February 19, 1927, pg. 8. Three of the photographs in the article show the same curtain backdrop; Hamilton models another period gown in one of these photographs.
