Description
Max Rée (1889–1953) was a Danish costume designer who designed for films from 1926 to 1935 and was the supervising director for sets and costumes at RKO from 1929 through 1932. He won an Academy Award for Best Art Direction for the film Cimarron. Peggy Hamilton modeling a hostess gown of apple-green satin, with a bodice of metallic gold fabric. The fitted gown has a train. The sheer bell sleeves are edged with grey fox, and the ornaments are of emerald crystal. Handwritten on edge of negative: D 717 Text from negative sleeve: R 26. Peggy Hamilton. RKO Photo. Ernest H.
