Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Peggy Hamilton modeling a dress with a fitted, sleeveless bodice and full skirt. The dress fabric is light in color with a starkly contrasting dark floral embroidery incorporating sequins and stitched on bands of netting. The shoulder bows and satin gloves are also in a dark color. Hamilton is shown against a sharply contrasting background in black on the right and a painting of a street or walkway with ornamental building facades on either side in deep recession (perhaps a movie backdrop) on the left.
